LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Jennifer Collier was nominated by her colleague, Gidget Duran.

Duran has worked with Ms. Collier at Ygnacio Valley High School for several years and has seen the effort she puts into making history fun for students. She is passionate about teaching and offers students a hands-on learning environment. She teaches them about how past experiences can shape their future, and encourages them to make a difference. Students also have the chance to run for office and learn what it's like to be responsible for others.

"I know first-hand the imprint she leaves on students; as my daughter was her pupil," Duran said.
