Dr. Lazaro's passion and commitment allowed her to impact her students further when she was awarded by President Barack Obama the Presidential Awardee in Excellence in Math and Science Teaching in 2015. She has taught her students the About the Science curriculum in Maryland. She has been collaborating with her colleagues in the CRI program in her school and impacting the lives of her students as they continue to aspire for higher learning at the secondary level. Her background as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine gives her proven expertise in life, animal, and plant sciences. Parents feel safe and look forward to her as their children's teacher because of her commitment to the profession and understanding of her students.
