Music that Describes Samantha

Samantha Farmer was nominated by a colleague, Nakia Sibley.

"Where do I begin.. three words to describe Samantha Farmer: dedicated, caring, and intelligent," said Sibley. "I nominate her for the LifeChanger of the Year award because she possesses all the qualities of a star teacher."

She has worked in education for over 20 years in various capacities, including being a principal and teaching several grade levels where she served as grade chair. It's no secret how dedicated she is. Daily, she gives up her planning period to work with students who struggle in math. She mentors new teachers yearly and focuses on providing a healthy, positive relationship with them and her students.

"I have known her for some time now, and she has always had my back," said Sibley. "I can't say enough about how she encourages and pushes me to improve. I don't think I ever said it, but her influences made me a better teacher and person. She deserves this honor. She also helped our school and district earn an A rating multiple times. I could go on and on, but ultimately, she is our star teacher, and I would love to bestow this honor on her."

She was the principal when I was the school nurse there. She supported me; kept me positive on days that were very negative. She was a wonderful leader by: delegating as needed; supporting; asking questions to make us think about new avenues; making suggestions as needed. She definitely fits this description: LifeChanger!
