Annette McCraw was nominated by a member of the community who wishes to stay anonymous.
Ms. McCraw makes sure her students are a success in her game. She works hard to improve the lives of everyone she comes in contact with because she is a giver. Everyone knows she has something in store for them whenever she shows up. The students at her school love her. She helped open the school almost 20 years ago and has about six more years before she can throw in the hat. That has not slowed her down a bit.
She starts every day with warm wishes for everyone she meets. She runs a food bank inside her school. Last year, her program was featured as a part of the LifeChanger of the Year program. Nominators raised $3,000 to help the program succeed and continue to feed families for this year and the next school year. No matter where she goes, she meets new friends to support her efforts to make sure the students at her school continue to learn about future career choices and what it takes to be successful in the education arena.
Ms. McCraw works hard at the schoolhouse and dedicates her time to other organizations, such as the Georgia Association of Educators, where she was recently elected to the PAC committee. She's also a part of the Clayton County Education Association of Educators, where she serves on the PAC committee and was a past Vice President. She has participated on the Clayton County School District One Advisory Committee for two years.
She believes in hands-on adventures, so she has taken her young students to different colleges, universities, and businesses to learn what they are striving towards. She hosts career fairs to bring various professionals in so students can learn more about different career choices. She works hard to share with the students that giving as much as you receive is essential. Ms. McCraw is truly a class act.
