Rhonda Van Deusen was nominated by a member of her community, Patrick Ryerson.

"I have personally known Rhonda for well over six years," said Ryerson. "I initially met Rhonda as the principal of Mamie Towles Elementary School. My day has always gotten better for having personal interactions with her."

Every interaction with Ms. Van Deusen has been beyond positive. She genuinely cares for her school and treats the school, students, and staff respectfully and kindly. 

Ms. Van Deusen has spent her career in education, with 20 years in California and another 20 years in Nevada. Her pedigree and resume speak for themselves, as she has positively influenced and changed many lives for the better.

"I feel honored to nominate Rhonda for this award as she is more than worthy of receiving this award," said Ryerson. "I personally want to thank Rhonda for her service, as it is a huge compliment to be able to nominate her for this award."
