Gary Bernice was nominated by an anonymous member of the community.
Mr. Bernice has developed and guided the music program at Springfield's High School of Science and Technology since 2007. He has grown the program to over 300 students throughout his career. He also co-founded the Springfield Mentoring Through Music Program to provide mentor/mentee opportunities for Springfield's youth. Mr. Bernice and the Sci-Tech Band continue to represent Springfield for the rest of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to this day.
