Brittanie Ramsey was nominated by her spouse, Eric Ramsey.
Mrs. Ramsey began teaching in 2005 and has taught with Polk County Public Schools for 17 years. Over that time, she has touched the lives of hundreds of kids with her big heart, warm smile, and compassion for others. Students and their families run up to Mrs. Ramsey in public because she always makes strangers feel like family.
In 2022, she became a teacher recruitment coordinator. Although she misses working with students, she is now volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters to ensure she still impacts children's lives. Mrs. Ramsey is balancing her job with being a wife and mother of 2 daughters, all while completing her doctoral degree in educational leadership. She has proven leadership skills and has been a coach, intern teacher, and grade-level chair.
"To describe Brittanie in 3 words, I would say dedicated, motivated, and goal-driven," said Eric Ramsey. "She has changed her students' lives by providing a warm, caring environment and making meaningful relationships with the students and their families. She is my LifeChanger of the Year and doesn't just reach for the stars. She lifts up others along the way."
