Stephanie Eastman's nominator would like to remain anonymous.

"If I had only three words to describe Stephanie, they would be dedicated, caring, and passionate," said the nominator. "I see Stephanie go above and beyond for her students daily. She always tries to find new ways to present and deliver her lessons. Stephanie works harder than most at trying to reach all students. She dedicates herself to helping her students learn science."

Mrs. Eastman is caring and actively tries to know about each of her students. She attends sporting events, concerts, and anything students have going on. She makes positive phone calls home, along with some not-so-positive, all trying to understand each of her students better. Money is spent out of her pocket to help every student achieve at a higher level.

Mrs. Eastman lives for science and education. Her passion for teaching science is like a wildfire; it just consumes everyone around her. She is genuine and honest, and the students see this every day. She has had several students return from college or careers to tell her that her passion for science and teaching is why they went in whatever direction they chose. 

When out in public, she can't go unnoticed. Students and parents alike thank her for her dedication to her students. She is definitely changing lives.
