"Ms. Gorman has changed all of the students' lives at ThrivePoint High School in multiple ways," said the student. "She makes us all feel safe and cared about. She treats us all with respect, and we all respect her. She doesn't act like we're less than her - instead, she helps everyone with anything, whether it's school-related or not. She is just an all-around great person and teacher. She makes sure everyone is accommodated for anything they need. Ms. Gorman has made my school experience better than any other school I've ever gone to, and I'm so happy and grateful to have her as one of my teachers.

I am very happy to hear that this teacher has been nominated for the Life Changer of the year award. I could not agree more with the student nomination. Melody has always been very thoughtful and caring as a teacher here at ThrivePoint High School siince I have worked here as a coach/teacher. She will often go the extra mile to show up and assist any student no matter what the need is for. Melody is definitely a one of a kind "Gem" in the world of education. We are lucky to have her.
