Tim Ferrara was nominated by his principal, Claudia Espinoza.
Mr. Ferrara is an outstanding educator and a great believer in all students being able to succeed. His belief in everyone, not just kids, is phenomenal. He is supportive to everyone and finds time to send encouraging emails, which seem to arrive just when you need them. Mr. Ferrara sends out PowerPoint presentations that all teachers use to teach students how to be kind to others in school and elsewhere. Mr. Ferrara also runs the Kids at Hope Club at Desert Oasis. He makes sure all students have an ACE (a caring adult) and puts together an event to let those other caring adults know the students whose lives they have touched.
"I cannot say enough about how great Mr. Ferrara is to be around and to have around the students and teachers. He is a passionate educator, and our students are very lucky to have him as their teacher," said Espinoza.
Mr. Ferrara is an amazing teacher. He was my son teacher for third grade. My son absolutely loved his class until this day he says that’s his favorite teacher. He is always so motivated, cheerful and so positive to all his student. He is an absolutely a great teacher and definitely goes above and beyond for his students. Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication for the students and parents as well.
Mr. Ferrara is a dedicated and committed educator that makes connections with his students and for his students! He is always well prepared and the students are highly engaged in his classroom. He also goes above and beyond ensuring every student has a caring adult in the school and promotes ideas with the entire staff so everyone can believe in every child, no exceptions! Mr. Ferrara definitely deserved a ‘Life Changer of the Year Award’. As this is what he does! Thank you!
Mr Ferrara was such a good teacher to me. He was my teacher for 2 years. He's taught me so many life lessons that I will never forget!

Mr. Ferrara was a true blessing for our son as his teacher for multiple years. During this time, he built a strong relationship and genuinely showed he cared not just for my son's academic progress but his growth as a person. As his colleague, I witnessed this not only with my son but several students over the years. Tim puts his heart and soul into education and the classes he teaches. I can think of noone more deserving of this award.

Mr. Ferrara is an Treasure Hunter for all students in the purest sense. It does not matter who walks into his classroom. He finds the best in everyone and encourages them to be the best version of themselves they can be. He is a phenomenal educator and everyone who crosses his path is richer for it.
I worked with Mr Ferrara for several years at Desert Oasis. His collaboration and teaching talent made a difference with the Resource Special Education students.

Mr Ferrara was my son's teacher for 2 years and he was an amazing educator. He connects well with kids and he and my son shared a love for building stuff, especially Legos.

Mr. Ferrara is an outstanding example of a life changer for students. He goes the extra mile to show all students in and out of his classroom that they matter and are special in all of their own unique ways. Students that have had him in the past share that they loved being in Mr. Ferrara's class because he made them feel important, safe, and helped them visualize their hopes and dreams for the future. He has shown students throughout his career that they can grow up to be anything they dream to be and whatever that dream may be!
I taught with Mr. Ferrara for 8 years. From my very first day as a new teacher, he made sure I felt welcome, important and special. He has this special way of making his students and fellow teachers feel inspired. If you ever had a bad day or needed advice he was there. He always could make you laugh. My 8th graders from last year would still talk about how much they loved him as their 3rd grade teacher. He is unforgettable.
