Dr. Andrew Anderson was nominated by Stephanie Nary, his colleague.

Dr. Anderson grew up in Barrington, Rhode Island and has been the principal of Barrington Middle School for the last 11 years. He has dedicated himself to making BMS a place where kids are respected, respectful, and ready to learn. He focuses on the whole student and works to make each and every one of his students be their "Best Self." He is respected by his colleagues for being easily approachable and for always listening to their concerns. He takes a team approach in running BMS, which has been a Blue Ribbon school for many years.

"He has a wonderful sense of humor, which is comforting during difficult times, and he's thoughtful in each and every interaction he has with parents, students, and colleagues," said Nary. "Our school is lucky to have him."

Dr Anderson is a fantastic leader he helped my twins so much he is caring,fun and a wonderful principal he understands the children and as a parent he is always available to help and listen. Dr Anderson is very deserving of this award.
