Mrs. Quade is a school counselor for Kindergarten through second-grade students at Studebaker Elementary in Des Moines, Iowa. Mrs. Quade has been working at Studebaker for three years and has dramatically improved the regulation and self-awareness of the students she works with. Mrs. Quade has a positive attitude, even on the roughest days, and she always has a kind word to say to both staff and students.
Mrs. Quade's positivity affects the whole building and has created a sense of peace at Studebaker since she arrived. Before working at Studebaker, Mrs. Quade worked with a mentoring program that matched children with quality adults in Iowa. Since beginning her work for Des Moines Public Schools, Mrs. Quade has taken on a leadership role within the counseling department and mentored a new counselor this year.
