Music that Describes David
Dr. David Arledge was nominated by an anonymous student.
"Dr. David Arledge is a LifeChanger in my life and the lives of many others," said the student. "Many people might have different opinions on what a LifeChanger really is, but for me, it's simple. All you have to do is be there for the people that care about you. Dr. Arledge is always there for people who need his help, and he is a big addition to Eureka High School's staff."
"In only eight weeks, Dr. Arledge has already changed my life and proven to me how wonderful of a person he is. Not just to me, but to Eureka High School and our community as a whole," said the student. "He is a very positive person, and he is always spreading positivity and joy."
"After a long summer break, within the first couple weeks of school, I was excited and eager to get back into the classroom and see my friends," said Rogers. "It was my freshman year, and I could tell that even though I was now in high school, I was still acting like an immature middle schooler. Dr. Arledge is very supportive; he is always there to support whoever needs it at school. He made me realize that the right technique isn't always punishment but instead to sit down and talk about how I can improve myself to be a better student and person," said Rogers.
Dr. Arledge is present at every football game. He is always wearing the theme for that game and gets everyone at school ready for the big night. Dr. Arledge is always on the sideline right by the players, cheering them on and encouraging them to be great. He not only cares about the team, but about each individual out there playing. He continuously posts on social media about the outstanding achievements of EHS students and staff to promote the school.
Dr. Arledge has an incredible resume; he traveled to Las Vegas and attended Nova Southeastern University. He earned his Master's degree in educational administration. Dr. Arledge also earned his Bachelor's degree in elementary education at York College in Nebraska. He was also part of the Ph.D. program for educational administration and leadership at Missouri Baptist University. For many years, he was part of the Ferguson-Florissant School District, where he helped change and improve students' lives just like he is now at Rockwood School District. Dr. Arledge was recently the assistant principal at McCluer North High School. He was also Riverview Gardens High School's assistant principal for four years.
"Without a doubt, Dr. David Arledge has been a huge life changer to me and many others," said the student. "The EHS students and staff love and care for him just as much as he does for us. Dr. Arledge is very responsive and down-to-earth; you can always find him cheering everyone on and creating a great and positive experience. There truly isn't a better person that I could nominate for this award."
