I have never had a school leader that reassured me that my voice mattered until I met Karp!! In individual meetings, group meetings, classroom, and outside of school she is always welcoming. She accepts new ideas, challenges, responsibility, even criticism exceptionally well. She is a true leader and I don't say that lightly. It takes a very special people to lead and LEAD WELL!! Her leadership skills has been truly life changing for me as an individual and the work she puts in daily is leaving a huge imprint on education to come!!! Love you so much KARP!
Kaitlin "Karp" Karpinski is a wonderful role-model and an even better person. She cares about the people in her life so much it can sometimes lead to her own health being compromised.
She absolutely deserves to be recognized, mostly because she does not chase admiration or awards. She lives for the people in her life. How about these people give something back?

It's me kyriane I just wanted to say thank you for letting me into this school and letting me have a smart chance to freinds i meet,classes i have taken and just so much more this school is a healing band-aid from all the past schools i've had. NOt like their any bad just some have been traumtizing ya know?This school is beautiful in ever way and even though its not perfect if i would have a chance to go back here agaijn once im an adult i would just to see yall again :)

Karp, thank you so much for believing in me as well as everyone else at Rooted. I am so honored to be a part of the learning environment you have helped create over the years. You always speak up and stand up for what’s right. You lead by example and model for us what great leadership looks and sounds like. You embrace every single student and make sure their voices are heard. You challenge all of us to challenge ourselves and to do the right thing even in moments where it may be uncomfortable. You are transparent and fair. I can go on and on, but the things I don’t mention, someone else in the comments will. Thank you for caring and being vested in making sure each learner who walks into Rooted walks out with a college acceptance letter in one hand and a job offer in the other. We love you!
