Ashley Fleming was nominated by an anonymous colleague.

"Ms. Fleming gives her all to teaching her students; she takes her work home daily to try to meet her students' needs," said her colleague. "Aside from being a phenomenal second grade teacher, she is also a teacher who spent additional time improving her skills by obtaining advanced degrees in education. When given a task, she dives in with determination to accomplish the goal. She is encouraging to her students and will hold them accountable for their learning outcomes." 

"She accepts no excuses and demands her students' best in all they do, as that is what she gives to them, as well," explains her colleague.
