LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Kathy Vidourek was nominated by her student, Lexie Mulford.

Mulford states that Mrs. Vidourek isn't only the best teacher she has ever had, but one of the best people she has ever known. She stays late to help her students understand the material and build confidence in their abilities. She is supportive and provides a safe, engaging learning environment for all.

"She has helped me with math throughout my high school career," Mulford said. "Mrs. Vidourek is hardworking, patient, kind, and selfless. She taught me to be patient with myself, and to always offer a helping hand to someone in need."

After Mulford graduated from high school and moved away from home, Mrs. Vidourek continued to support her in her studies.

"When I was trying to get into nursing school, Mrs. Vidourek helped me study for my entrance exam," Mulford said. "She would invite me to her home, cook me dinner, and help me study for hours on end. Kathy Vidourek is the definition of a LifeChanger, whether it was a hug in the hall on a bad day, or her telling me that she loves me. She deserves to be honored for her hard work."
