Brittany Leone was nominated by Chloe Simmons, a parent of a student.
“Ever since the first day of school, Miss Leone has been a tremendous help to my son,” explains Simmons. “He is in the 504 plan, and she is proving to be one of the best teachers he has ever had. This is his first year at Nola Dunn, and she goes that extra mile for him when needed. When there is something needed of me or something I need to know, she will contact me and explain or let me know what is needed.”
Mrs. Leone is one of the most amazing humans I have ever met. She truly cares for each one of her students and goes above and beyond to make sure each one has what they need to succeed! Our whole family adores her!!
Mrs. Leone is an awesome educator and I am so blessed that my son is in her class. She is compassionate, patient and has already helped him so much this year!
Brittiny has a very caring and compassionate soul. I’ve known her for 32 years and she has always shown kindness to everyone she meets. She has a servant heart and always does what she can to help others. She absolutely glows when she talks about her job and how much she loves the kids she gets to work with.
I’ve known Brittany for roughly 15yrs. I’ve been her colleague and former asst principal. She is the epitome of innovative, genuine, sincere, and knowledgeable! She strives to continuously challenge her students, while providing the perfect scaffolding support to help them reach their goals! Being an educator isn’t her “job,” it’s her “calling!” It’s been a pleasure and joy to have worked with her! “Life-Changer” describes her perfectly!
Mrs. Leone is absolutely incredible. She loves her students with all of her heart, and pushes them to do their best each day. She advocates for them with her attitude and actions. I’m so thankful she is at the Academy!
Mrs Leone is truly the best! She always has a smile on her face ??, she is so patient with all the kids and takes the time to understand childrens needs and make learning fun!

Mrs. Leone has been my sons functional program teacher for two years now . If I could pick any song to describe her it would be “This girl is on fire” by Alicia keys . She is truly a blessing to my son and even more to my family . She has helped my son in school tremendously and goes up and beyond every single day . She is not your average teacher , she has even taken time out of her own personal time to attend my sons football game. I do not look at Mrs. Leone as just Jaxons teacher but as a friend as well . She is truly amazing
