Not everyone gets the opportunity to work with your own child's teacher and I am fortunate enough that I got to see first hand how amazing Amanda Moore is! She was my child's first grade teacher who is now in middle school and is still his favorite teacher to date! She instilled a love for reading and school in general in a highly energetic little boy that he still carries with him today. As her coworker I have seen first hand her dedication to her students and teachers around her. Amanda is often the first one at school every day to make sure and have everything ready for her students each day and has also been one to stay late and tutor students. Amanda has been a leader on our staff to multiple grade levels and mentored many new teachers that have been on her teams throughout the 7 years we have worked together. It has been an honor to work with and know as a students parent and friend!

Amanda Moore is an exceptional candidate for the "LifeChanger of the Year"! She pushes herself to be highly successful with anything she undertakes and appreciates the challenge of rigorous standards and high expectations. Working with Amanda over the past several years, I have had many opportunities to observe her work as a compassionate educator, curriculum designer and as a true advocate for all students. Amanda is passionate about education and she strives to influence learners to question their thinking and to desire more, which is – in my opinion - the ultimate compliment an educator may receive. Her open outlook and willingness to pitch in at any given moment fuels her enthusiasm to address the needs of students and as well as motivating her peers. Mrs. Moore is a vital contributor to the campus’ STEM mission and is quite adept at instilling the skills of thinking critically, being creative, communicating effectively, self advocacy and having empathy, in each of our students so that they will become the future problem solvers of the world. Amanda's goal is a complete, robust learning environment that safely nurtures STEM literate scholars. She is a cherished member of the Grapevine Colleyville Independent School District and Cannon Elementary: A GCISD STEM School team and is an outstanding candidate for the LifeChanger of the Year!

Always smiling, always willing to do what ever is needed, always a joy with whom to work. It's been many years ago that I served as Amanda's administrator yet, to this day, I remember her compassion, caring, willingness to serve and bright smile, Congratulations, Amanda Moore, and thank you Grapevine ISD for recognizing the exemplary character of this wonderful lady.

Amanda is the kind of teacher many of us aspire to be. From the moment you meet her she is warm, inviting, and accepting. She brings a peacefully presence to her classroom. Her students instantly connect with her because she is amazing at putting them first. She meets every child where they are and helps them grow in so many different ways. Amanda is also an amazing coworker. She is the first person in the door each morning and is ready to prep and assist whenever necessary. She is patient when she’s helping you learn new things and she is flexible when you want to try something new. She is a fantastic team lead! She truly is a Lifechanger. Not only to the hundreds of students who love her completely, but to me as well. She is so deserving of the title.

One of the most inspiring things about Amanda is her ability to find the joy in her students each day. She is calm and loving and no matter the situation she can see the humor and joy. Her students know she loves them and has high expectations for all they can achieve. I love getting to work with her and I have tried to add more of her style to my own teaching. She is amazing

Amanda is an amazing teacher and coworker. She deeply cares for her students and their families and does her best to help them grow. We both started at a new campus, a new program we were not familiar with, and had to lean on each other in this new experience. It was my second year teaching and I cannot imagine going through that adventure without her. Even though Amanda was new to the program like me she would give me tips and tricks, and always lend an ear when I needed it. She cares for me as a teacher, a college, and a person. I learned from her deep love for people, and the impact one person can make in so many lives.

I had the honor of marrying this wonderful woman, who has been nominated for a lot of great reasons. I remember when I first meet and starting dating Amanda; I thought, this is great I get to marry the love of my dreams and she is a teacher, which means she will be off work at 3:00 or 3:30. As all teachers know and I soon came to realize, her work effort, dedication to her job and the kids she loves each day means she doesn’t leave at 3:00 or 3:30. Although she accomplishes this each day. She still comes home and raised 2 wonderful kids and has time for me as well. I’m proud to be the husband who is married to the woman that deserves so much recognition for the amount of effort she puts into her work, work family, family, and friends. Keep up the GREAT work Babe!

Once in a great while, a special teacher walks into a principal's door with a vision of excellence for ALL kids and a willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure that all students know they are loved, trusted, and challenged to become the very best version of themselves. Amanda Moore was one of these special teachers at our campus and it was truly an honor to have her join our campus and to watch her work her magic in the classroom each day! Amanda exemplifies the qualities of a "Lifechanger" as a distinguished educator who holds high expectations for herself and her students, while maintaining compassion and empathy. She is a learner, who reflects on her practice daily, in order to make revisions and adjustments to ensure that every child is experiencing success. She expects a lot from her students - academically, socially, and behaviorally, and her students love her for it! She is able to adapt her instruction to meet the needs of every learner and she supports students in reflecting on their own level of effort and learning. Students in Amanda's classroom believe they can learn and believe they can be successful because they know she believes in them. She provides enough structure for students to discover how to be learners, but offers enough choice so that students understand that it is their effort and hard work that is making the difference in their success. One of Amanda's many gifts as an educator is her ability to relate to and engage with students from all backgrounds and experiences. Her education, experience, and intuition enable her to support and develop all students to be leaders, including those with language differences, special learning needs, as well as those who are gifted. It has been said that watching a great teacher at the top of his or her form is like watching a great artistic performance. Although infinitely difficult and painstakingly planned, great teaching appears effortless and seamless. It would be easy to believe that it is the simplest thing in the world, until one tries to do it. However, it is well-known that great teaching is anything but simple. Great teaching is the result of great effort, put forth by great educators, who invest a great deal of time, energy, thought, heart, and love into their craft. Amanda Moore is truly one of these great educators who I am honored to have had the privilege of getting to know personally and to watch her greatness in action. It is with immense pleasure that I recommend Amanda Moore to be this year's recipient for the Lifechanger of the Year award. She is very deserving of this recognition and I am forever grateful for how she changed and enriched my life as a colleague and partner in education!

Above and beyond totally understate the greatness of Mrs. Moore. Both of my children had the honor of learning and being loved unconditionally by Mrs. Moore. She loves beyond the walls of the elementary school and made school enjoyable. She will forever be our FAVORITE teacher of ALL TIME!!

Amanda Quire Posted over a year ago

I’m not sure if my gratitude and admiration can fit in this box! Mrs. Moore is so gifted in her teaching. She sees the individual and meets the child where they are, while also reiterating the importance of being a group supporting one another, encouraging one another and at the end of the day to treat one another as family. She is a bright light to all and appreciate her as a teacher and now as a friend. Amanda, thank you so much for all you do for the kiddos, thank you for all you did for Daniel, thank you for being one of the very BEST! Thank you for all your hard work, countless hours of love and dedication to the kiddos and parents and all the things that go unseen! Just know it does not go unnoticed! You deserve this award and so much more!

Mrs. Moore created a classroom family where each child was valued, encouraged and cheered on by their classmates and teacher. My daughter thrived in Mrs. Moore’s class, not just academically, but her confidence flourished. We always say having Mrs.Moore is like winning the lottery, because we feel so lucky to have had her as our daughter’s second grade teacher. We love Mrs. Moore and she is a life changer by cultivating my daughter from a shy, quiet, unsure student into a confident learner who loved coming to school each day.

I have had the opportunity to work with Mrs. Moore not only as a colleague but as a parent to my youngest. Amanda is a teacher that leaves an impact on each and everyone that is blessed to know her and/or be part of her amazing classroom. When we shut down for Covid, Amanda, made sure her scholars felt safe, loved, and valued! The uncertainty of the world for my first grader at the time was hard for her to grasp and understand, but Amanda went above and beyond to make sure her scholars, like my daughter, knew she was there and made sure they had what they needed. She truly embraces all the hats a teacher wears on a day-to-day basis and ensures her students are well taken care of and receive the education they deserve. Mrs. Moore is truly nourishing kind, caring, and respectable citizens that will go far in life by her impact! Congratulations, Amanda!

Zachary had you for 1 year and some of the 1st grade year due to online learning. You were always the favorite part of his day. He had so much fun. As a parent I loved how you always made me feel at ease about having questions and just being a friend and partner in leading Zachy the best way possible. I have heard wonderful things from all the students and parents in the past that have been lucky enough to have you as a teacher. Im excited for the students now and in the future who have you. Thank you for all you do!

She builds strong partnerships with the families she works with and creates a safe learning environment for her kiddos to foster the love of learning. I'm so excited she was nominated for LifeChanger because she is so deserving!

My son had Mrs Moore for the first semester of virtual first grade before moving to a different district. Mrs Moore spoke life into my son during Covid and gave him something to look forward to each morning. Her love for the kids was evident even through a computer screen. We were so lucky to have her even if it was just for a short time, and we still remember her and are thankful for her influence at that time.

Mrs. Moore is the most deserving person for this award. She goes above and beyond for every student. She makes every student feel special. She takes time and learns about the students and their needs and teaches them accordingly. She makes sure the parents are updated on what goals she has made with our children. We were blessed to have her as a teacher after a crazy pandemic year. One thing I loved about her teaching was each week she would pick a student and on Fridays she would have the other students write about that student. It was so fun to receive letters from my sons friends about him. We still read them. She also had the students write my husband on Veterans Day and it was so special for my husband. She is the best of the best!!!!!

Most teachers focus on behavior (which is a needed focus). However, Mrs. Moore has a unique ability to see beneath behavior to who a child really is. My child had Mrs. Moore for second grade. We had countless conversations about how Mrs. Moore’s class felt so safe and comfortable because she values students for who they ARE first and not what they DO. We should all be so lucky to have someone in our life who sees first who we truly are. I’m so glad daughter had an entire school year of this magnificent human reflecting her infinite worth right back into her eyes each and every day.

Amanda is truly one of the most inspiring people I have ever met. She is an incredible thought leader on our STEM campus, a strong mentor to our new teachers, and a passionate educator who always keeps students at the center of the conversation. Amanda works hard to build strong relationships with families. She navigates tough situations with professionalism and heart. She serves as an anchor for our entire school community. Anyone who is lucky enough to work or learn in her presence can attest to the beautiful impact that she has on the lives of others. We love Mrs. Moore!

There is no one who deserves this recognition more than Mrs. Moore. Every student that walks in her room knows that they are loved and cherished. She makes a point to really know her students. This past school year, she noticed that my daughter was opting out of an activity because her allergy required that she use a different material than her friends. The next week my daughter hopped in the car beaming. She told me that Mrs. Moore switched the materials in the classroom so that everyone used the material she could play with. She talked all week about how she could play without being different from everyone else. While it might seem like a small thing to most, my daughter felt seen, loved and valued. Being 7, she might forget that the play dough was switched out, but she will never forget how Mrs. Moore made her feel.
