Louann Jensen was nominated by a student who wishes to remain anonymous.

Mrs. Jensen is an English and  U.S History teacher at Estelline High School who is dedicated to her students. She cares about her students and truly wants the best for them.

"Mrs. Jensen helped me a lot when I was in trouble or when I was struggling," the nominator said. "She was there for me and helped me with my homework. I am really glad I met her three years ago, because I wouldn't be where I am today without her."

My son could've written this nomination. When he first had her as a teacher in 7th grade, he struggled. LouAnn not only figured out why he was struggling, she worked to figure out srtategies to make sure he succeeded. She encouraged him along the way and praised even the smallest accomplishments.She kept in contact with me, and often just to tell me that she was proud of how hard he was working. LouAnn is always available to her students. If they need to come in before or after school, she works her schedule around them. I know that my son would not be where he is right now if LouAnn was not in his life, and more importantly, in his corner. Every school should be full of teachers like LouAnn.
