Music that Describes Kara
Kara Marnin was nominated by her colleague, Amy McCampbell.
Ms. Marnin has been a third grade teacher at Northwestern for the biggest part of her career. She's in charge of the Elementary Honor Roll, and she serves as FTA Co-advisor. Ms. Marnin also helps run an annual program where students practice their writing skills by writing to the elderly in a local nursing home. Additionally, she organizes a runaway gingerbread man project each year during the holidays, and more activities than can be mentioned.
She motivates her students to excel at reading and science. She also works with a local couple on a Monarch Butterfly lesson each year.
"She has been an asset to Northwestern for over 20 years and will be greatly missed by students and staff," said McCampbell.
