Ms. Huff has been the Autism/Behavior Specialist for the Fredericksburg City Public School Division for many years. Before her most recent position, she taught in self-contained Autism and Emotional Disability Behavior classrooms. She has touched many lives throughout her tenure as an educator in the state of Virginia and Fredericksburg City Public Schools.
Ms. Huff exemplifies student-centered decision making in her professional work. She works to ensure the dignity and progress of all students with kindness, patience, and the confidence that all children can progress. She is an asset to the division through her dedication to the improvement of outcomes for students, her expertise, and her willingness to support students and staff.
"Julie is always willing to listen and offer guidance or support in a positive and supportive way," said her colleague. "She is always seeking to improve herself professionally, seeking knowledge to help all students and support the faculty and staff. After this school year, Julie is retiring from public education. She will be missed by her students, colleagues, parents, and community."
