Leslie Sauter was nominated by one of her students.
"I nominated Leslie because she has helped me with so many hardships and trying times," explains the student. "She has been my social worker for my entire school life, and she is sadly retiring this year. She helped me fight against my abusive dad and freed me from him. She got me the rights I deserved as an autistic. Leslie helped me so much throughout life and turned me from a failing student to a straight-A student. Leslie Sauter deserves a chance at this award."
