LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Bradley Arledge was nominated by family members Tommie Blythe and Lisa Manning, his wife Angela Arledge, as well as a nominator who wishes to remain anonymous.

Some people believe that certain individuals were born to be teachers, and Mr. Arledge is one of them. He carries a heavy teaching load being in charge of the Junior High bands at Farmersville ISD. He is also the Assistant Director at the High School and helps with all other bands within the district. Mr. Arledge is constantly evaluating and improving his teaching tools, seeking ways to enhance his students’ learning opportunities.

"Because of his eagerness to learn, he brings new teaching techniques to the band hall which makes learning fun for all of his students," Blythe said.

Mr. Arledge consistently challenges his students to learn and grow, and he is as passionate about teaching as he is about music. He takes great pride in seeing his students become successful beyond his classroom. He is dedicated to his career and his students, and is truly a mentor to young minds. Mr. Arledge is very involved in the Farmersville community, where he not only attends sporting events and parades, but hosts programs to celebrate his young musicians' accomplishments.

"He interacts with his students in a way that makes them feel valued, and he truly enjoys it," his other nominator said. "His sense of humor keeps them engaged, but he always maintains a standard of professionalism and pride, which he expects from his students, in turn."

Mr. Arledge inspires enthusiasm in all of his students and is devoted to preparing future generations for life beyond high school.

"His dedication to his students has made teaching the very heart of his professional life," Blythe said. "It is not an overstatement to say that Mr. Arledge is not only a highly respected and admired teacher, but that he is also well-loved."

Mr. Arledge’s most recent accomplishment is attending the UIL State Championships, where the Farmersville Band received 2nd in the 3AA Division.

"He is very humble about all of his achievements and feels that his greatest accomplishment is not the awards, but building successful musicians that are passionate about the art he teaches," Blythe said. "There is nothing he wouldn’t do for his students, school district or community; which is why Bradley Arledge is a LifeChanger to many!"

"Mr. Arledge would never take credit for any of his young musicians accolades and would give all credit to them," Manning said. "Mr. Arledge is very deserving of this prestigious award, and it is because of LifeChangers like him, that encourage these students to pursue their dreams."
