Chris Calderwood was nominated by his colleague, Brian McDaniel.

"Mr. Christopher 'Chris' Calderwood is the GOAT of Athletic Directors," explains McDaniel. "Over three decades, Mr. C has lifted those around him with the pursuit of self-improvement and fair play."

"For the last three years, I have had the opportunity to work with him in building up our band program and setting new traditions. With his help, we created a school environment where the band bookends the high school experience by being the first thing students hear on day one and the last thing they hear when they graduate. To make this possible, Mr. C. facilitates access to the school, funding sources for uniforms and busing, and mentorship to get through the rough patches. While he might not agree with the following statement, I believe he is the biggest cheerleader for our band," said McDaniel.

"On behalf of the Rancho Mirage High School Ratter Regiment, we proudly nominate Mr. Christopher Calderwood as a LifeChanger of the Year," said McDaniel.
