Yvonne Dominguez was nominated by her colleague, Stephanie Carrasco.

"As a leader, mentor, and friend, she has a passion for life that overflows into how she works with teachers and students.  Ms. Dominguez has not only made a positive impact on one school district, but several across our region."

Ms. Dominguez guides and nurtures teachers. She consistently models ways to reach students through fun and engaging activities.  If you are lucky enough to attend one of her professional learning opportunities, you are in for a treat!  She has a knack for making you feel special and igniting the desire to learn.  With professionalism at the forefront, every decision Ms. Dominguez makes is for the benefit of the children. 

"As I stepped into my role in curriculum and advanced academics, Yvonne provided a guiding hand and helped lay the groundwork for the professional developer I grew into," said Carrasco. "She supported my practice as I worked with teachers across the district. If I ever have a question or need assistance, she is always ready to lend a helping hand or provide empowering advice.  Through thought-provoking discussions, Ms. Dominguez will ask the hard questions, too."
