Erin Reamer was nominated by Mary McHill, a parent of a student.

"My husband and I grappled with the decision to enroll our daughter in kindergarten this year. She had just turned five in July, and we were unsure as to whether she was ready. We went to the school open house at Lenox, and that is where met Mrs. Reamer," said McHill. "Mrs. Reamer is a kind person who exudes a remarkable combination of enthusiastic and calming energy. She made our daughter feel welcomed instantly."

"As the school year has progressed, we have noticed leaps and bounds in our child's development. Mrs. Reamer takes the time to reach out personally and privately when she has concerns," said McHill. "She has been such a great resource for my husband and I as we navigate having a school-aged child."

"When I look back on my own education, I can say without a doubt that my kindergarten teacher was the most impactful out of all of my instructors. I've been anxiously waiting for my daughter to get to this point, as I have wondered if her kindergarten teacher would be the same for her. While I can't speak for my child, I know that Mrs. Reamer exceeds the standard that my own teacher set in my mind. To successfully teach kindergarten in the throes of a global pandemic is no small feat, and she has done it in a collaborative and meaningful way," said McHill.
