Music that Describes Lisa
Lisa McDaniel was nominated by her daughter, Anna Williams.
"She is clothed with strength and dignity and can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongue," - Proverbs 31:25-26
"She" is Mrs. McDaniel. Mrs. McDaniel has been investing time, knowledge, passion, kindness, and wisdom into students for 25 years because she sees the future through their young, bright eyes. She not only teaches students in the classroom, but has also served on the school board to fight for the absolute best resources for them. She attends extracurricular school activities like fall festivals and sporting events, and she also volunteers to work at these events. Mrs. McDaniel does this because she loves her students, school, and community.
"She is also my mom and has taught me many valuable lessons throughout my life. One of the lessons she taught me was a quote from Ben Franklin: 'An investment in knowledge pays the best interest,'" said Williams.
What's so special about Mrs. McDaniel is that she not only gives and teaches in the classroom, but she also gives to her community, as well. She uses community outreach as a way to teach her students about giving back and the importance of showing kindness to others. Every Christmas, she and her class take up donations of items that senior citizens might need in nursing homes, such as candies, fuzzy socks, tissues, etc. She calls her outreach "Stockings for Seniors." Her students stuff all the stockings, take them to community nursing homes as Christmas gifts, and sing Christmas carols after passing them out. Talk about spreading Christmas cheer!
"Some of these people don't have family to come visit and seeing these children bring them a Christmas gift is the brightest spot in their season," said Williams. "It brings tears to my eyes every single year and also reminds me that going the extra mile to do something kind is always the best thing to do!"
Another special quality about Mrs. McDaniel is that she never loses touch with any of her students. They have grown up to become doctors, teachers, lawyers, etc. Mrs. McDaniel still talks about each of them like they are her own children. They never forget her and the love she showed to them. She has had several former students reach out, and she still receives Christmas and birthday cards from them.
"My mom works and loves so hard and would never ever expect anything in return. I am nominating her because I believe she deserves it. She inspires and does so much good for so many people. She is an amazing woman, teacher, and friend. My mom inspires me to make a positive difference and spread kindness every single day," said Williams.
So proud of Lisa! She truly loves the children she teaches and does her best to help them become good citizens.
Lisa is my niece so I’m partial. However she is at heart a giver ,she has given of herself to each student under her care. Instilling a gentle loving instruction and giving of themselves in them. She has chosen to teach in the Christian school her church started instead of a system with state benefits. Many of her previous students have returned to thank her for that extra push and care.
Her classes have as long as my memory serves me visited and given gifts of love & cheer to people in sad lonely stages of life. She has organized and carried out many projects to elderly, poor, military,missionary’s, and needy , that bring hope & cheer for all her years.

Lisa is a very godly woman. She is truly a blessing to everyone that she is around. She attempts to always love like Jesus, and it shows! She is very deserving of any blessing or appreciation that comes her way.
Lisa consistently uplifts her students and truly expresses her concern for their well being. She is patient and kind and genuinely enjoys teaching young children! She works in a Christian school setting by choice and feels called to teach. I know she is deserving of this award as I have witnessed her live out her faith, demonstrating fruit of the spirit that only comes from a deep walk with the Lord.
Mrs. McDaniel taught my son in 2nd grade. She truly was such a blessing. She loves her students like they are her own and goes over and beyond to make sure they succeed!!! She is so deserving of this award!!!
I have known Mrs McDaniel and her family for 20+ years through our church, Russell Baptist Church. When we started the school, Russell Christian Academy, 18 years ago I was pleased to see her become an instrumental part of the school. I know that she and her husband adopted a nephew and neice at young ages following some challenges for the children's parents. Professionally I have served on the Board of Directors for Russsell Christian Academy and have witnessed Lisa's loving and nuturing support for her students. She teaches them the cirriculum to prepare them for the next grade level but more importantly she teaches them that each one is a special, individual gift from God. I would describe Mrs McDaniel as a "predictably principled" teacher and mentor, an outstanding influence in our school and in our community. I would be thrilled to know that she would be teaching my children or grandchildren.
Lisa is a beautiful soul inside and out. She is so pleasant, loves the Lord and is an amazing influence on everyone she comes in contact with.
Mrs McDaniel has to be my favorite teacher I have ever had. I had her in the second grade. I'm now in 5th and I've never looked back. Mrs McDaniel is a true life changer.I love Mrs McDaniel ? ? ??
Mrs. McDaniel taught my grandson in the second grade at RCA. She is an awesome teacher who makes learning so much fun. The children love Mrs. McDaniel and they know she loves them. The children flourish under her teaching and guidance and they never forget Mrs. McDaniel.
Mrs. McDaniel was my kindergarten and 2nd grade teacher. I am now about to start dental school in August, and she is still one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. I give her a lot of credit for my love of school and learning. She cares so much about every student. She is definitely one of a kind!!
Mrs. McDaniel taught all 3 of my children. They are now in 4th, 6th, and 7th grades and still talks about being Bucaroo. She loved them and treated them like her own. My youngest had her the year spring break never ended. She was very understanding and made amazing videos to let the kids know she was right there with them and ready to help.
Mrs. McDaniel is a wonderful role model for fellow teachers, students and parents. My oldest son was blessed to have Mrs. McDaniel during his first year at RCA. She made him feel so welcome and comfortable. She was also very accommodating and patient with new parents at RCA. We felt like we had been there our entire life.
Mrs. McDaniel is currently teaching our youngest son. He has a lot of energy, but she is extremely patient with him, praises him, and encourages him every day. She is positive and always seems to turn a negative moment into a teaching moment. She has definitely used the talent and gifts God gave her. We are blessed to have Mrs. McDaniel in our life and cannot think of anyone more deserving of this honor. She is truly a life changer!
Mrs.McDaniel is an amazing educator. We taught at the same school for many years, and I have seen first hand the ways in which she makes each child feel special and loved. Teaching her students about Christ and setting a Christian example before them is imperative to Mrs. McDaniel. She is creative, loving, and makes a lasting impression on her students, families, and colleagues. As a former colleague, I truly admire Lisa McDaniel, and to this day I still have the utmost respect for her as an educator and a Christian.
Mrs. McDaniel is the type of teacher that works much more than an eight hour day. She is always available for questions or concerns from parents and children. She maintains a classroom decorated to welcome the children and promote a safe learning environment focused on learning about God and all He created. She sets a high bar for discipline and learning. The children love the rewards she gives and they feel the challenges they are given as a way to learn. She loves to see their creativity and applauds their efforts In a way that makes them feel accomplished. We are so glad she was nominated and for her being recognized for the great teacher that she is!
My daughter is currently in Mrs McDaniel's 2nd grade class. She is truly a blessing to all the children. She has been a wonderful teacher academically and also biblically. You can tell the Lord is top priority in her teaching.
Mrs. McDaniel is wonderful. She was my mentor my first year of teaching and we have been teaching together now for 18 years at RCA. I admire her and look up to her. She is kind, gentle, loving and always handles her students with grace. She is hands-on, creative, talented, knowledgeable and motivated. She engages and challenges her students to become life-long learners not only in academics but also in the walk with Christ. She is an awesome teacher, amazing friend and coworker. This is my 4th year to teach with Lisa McDaniel. She is an amazing teacher! Her students love her so much. She makes learning fun. I’m thankful for the opportunity to work with her. She is a wonderful example of a Christian educator.
Mrs. McDaniel was my son's 2nd grade teacher and was the best. He learned so much from her and not just academically. Her love for the Lord and her students shines bright. She made sure that he understood what she was teaching. She was also amazing at communicating with the parents to make sure we knew what was going on in the classroom. My son is now in 4th grade and still talks about her. She has most defiantly left a positive impression on him. My child was extremely blessed to have her for a teacher. We love her and her amazing smile.

Lisa had my son in her 2nd grade class. He is now in the 11th grade and still remembers being the “buckaroo of the week”. She invest in each child and makes them feel special. I always told my friends with kids going into 2nd grade that they should hope they get Mrs McDaniel for the year. Keep smiling and doing what you do so well.
Mrs McDaniel is a wonderful teacher and person. She taught my son and now teaching my daughter. She is always so kind and loving to them and she is always so encouraging to them. She is definitely a blessing to these children.
I have known Lisa for many years. Not only as a teacher but as such a good person. She is one of my granddaughter's teacher this year in 2nd grade. She also taught my older granddaughter. And Boy! What an education they got from her. Not just classroom, but so many hidden ways to teach them all of their subjects. I really enjoy listening to the fun things they do in class. She makes it so much fun and they never realize how much they learn. The verse that Anna started out in the nomination describes Lisa perfectly. She teaches the children love and kindness and is an example of this every day. She is firm but loving. My wish is that both granddaughters have many, many more teachers just like Lisa.
