Kristen Lang was nominated by her principal, Darcey Edwards.

"When you walk into Mrs. Lang's classroom, you instantly feel the warmth and care of her nurturing space," explains Edwards. "The environment is welcoming, with learning tools available at every turn. She knows student's names and important details about them including all of the details regarding their academics. She seeks answers to questions and is a deep thinker. Mrs. Lang is more than willing to try tiered intervention and will do whatever is necessary to administer an intervention."

She attends all of the events and meetings for her school and district. She seeks connections with families and volunteers to be on committees and organize community outreach. After school hours, she is a volunteer coach for high school sports. She creates lasting relationships with students. She is a committed educator and wonderful collaborative partner.
