Christina Shoemaker was nominated by an anonymous colleague.

Ms. Shoemaker works extremely hard, both in and outside of the classroom. She is amazing with students who are special needs or have a learning disability. Not everyone can do what she does. It takes a special kind of teacher to truly make special needs students feel included, loved, and cared for, as well as make them love coming to school every day. She has creative ways of helping students understand the information they need to know.

"I strive to be an amazing teacher like her. She is an inspiration, not only to the students, but to me, as well," said her colleague.
