Rebecca Wetzel was nominated by Elizabeth Huckins, a parent of a student.

"Mrs. Wetzel has been with our daughter for three of her years at West Wortham. In second grade, which was our daughter's first year there, Mrs. Wetzel made her feel at home in her new school. In fourth grade, she helped her navigate friendships and gain confidence in who she is and what she has learned. Now, in fifth grade, Mrs. Wetzel has helped our daughter develop patience, determination, confidence, and the knowledge that she can tackle pretty much anything that comes her way at school, personally or academically. Mrs. Wetzel not only goes above and beyond educationally for her students, but she guides them through their stages in life, as well. I have the utmost respect and gratitude for Mrs. Wetzel and how she has influenced my daughter over the years," said Huckins.
