Victoria Hoover was nominated by a colleague who wishes to remain anonymous.

From the very moment the nominator met Ms. Hoover, she knew that she was someone special.

"The first time I saw her, she was scrubbing the floors by the sink outside of the bathroom," the nominator said. "I remember thinking 'Who is this lady?' Turns out, she was my new principal."

When Ms. Hoover sees something that needs to be done, she takes it upon herself to fix the problem, rather than finding someone else to do it. She is constantly engaging with the students and staff, instead of hiding in her office all day.

"If she knows of a struggling student, she doesn't just look at their data and talk to the teacher," the nominator said. "She pulls groups of children together and tutors them during the day. What other principal does that?! She even finds clothing for students, washes and fixes their hair, and cleans their fingernails. If you can name it- she does it! She has truly changed many lives during her career."

Dr. Hoover is not only one of the best principals that I know, she is one of the best people that I know. She is caring and will do anything for anyone. She starts taking care of people the moment she steps into the school every morning. Children line up to speak with her in her office. If a child needs anything, she if the first to step up and help. She evens irons their clothes if needed! Dr. Hoover deserves the title of LifeChanger of the Year. She has definitely changed my life and taught me what it means to be a teacher. I adore her and her family. Thank God for Dr. Victoria Hoover!

This is the most amazing principal I've had the privilege to work for in all my years in the Pascagoula Gautier School District. She is an administrator who lets teachers and students alike know that she is there for THEM. She is not afraid to stand up for what is best for students and their needs. She is not only an administrator but an advocate for her students. She is a counselor, teacher, parent, friend, or whatever her students and teachers need. She is always in the "trenches" daily. She never asks for anyone to do anything that she won't do herself. No matter what campus she's at, she has made a tremendous impact on her students and faculty. She is truly a person who has changed the lives of everyone she meets.

Dr. Hoover is an amazing principal and teacher. She is an exceptional leader who has not forgotten what it is like to be a class room teacher. She is an inspiration to all that are fortunate enough to be around her. She inspires me daily to be better than I ever thought I could be. She is also one of the strongest women I have ever met!

It is a privilege to work for Dr Hoover. She always puts "her kids" ( which is all 300 of the students) at the top of her priority list. When my students are happy they want to tell Dr Hoover, when they are sad they want to talk to Dr Hoover because they know she will make time for them. She makes every student feel important. As a leader, she never asks anything from you that she isn't willing to do herself. She leads by example. I can't think of anyone more qualified to be considered a life changer than Dr Hoover.

Such an amazing leader and person! I’ll never forget how Ms. Hoover graced me with her love and allowed me to be apart of her team at Jackson Ele. I’m so blessed I’ve had the great moments to share with Ms. Hoover.
