LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Judith Maxwell was nominated by D. Necaise, the parent of a student.

Ms. Maxwell brings structure, love, and warmth into the classroom to create a loving "home".  She truly models a loving environment that helps her students grow and learn.  She is involved with her families, both in and outside of the classroom. Ms. Maxwell takes the time to become part of their lives and is willing to help parents in any way that is needed.  The relationships she builds are lifelong bonds.

Ms. Maxwell not only is a leader to her class, but to the community. She involves herself in projects throughout the community and brings the experiences into her classroom to share with her students. Her involvement is inspiring.

"We were honored to have her teach my daughter many years ago, but to this day, she checks on her and is available for any questions or guidance that my wife and I need. She has taken time to help us through many tough issues that we have encountered, said Necaise. "Ms. Maxwell is a model teacher that others should strive to become.  She has definitely been a LifeChanger to my daughter."
