Nicole Thompson was nominated by Jeni Bruce-Teeters, the parent of multiple students.

"Nicole is the most influential and loving teacher I've ever encountered," explains Bruce-Teeters. "She is nurturing, comforting, fun, full of joy, and just absolutely outstanding. Over the past two years, we were lucky enough to have her for each of our youngest two children."

These past two years have been nothing short of crazy considering the worldwide pandemic. Mrs. Thompson never batted an eye at the craziness and constant juggling and shuffling. She handled it all with grace. She was completely accommodating and helpful.

"Nicole has always been the best communicator with parents of her students. We've never had to wonder what was going on, or what to expect," said Bruce-Teeters. "She not only makes it a point to meet her students where they are when they enter her classroom; she grabs her students and their families by the hand and guides them through the year, and on through their subsequent years."

"Even though Mrs. Thompson is not currently a teacher of one of my children, she is still a favorite, to say the least. Every day in car line, I have to roll down the windows so my boys can yell out 'goodbye' to her. When something exciting happens in their lives, they want to tell Mrs. Thompson. If you ask my children what they do at school if they need a grown up other than their current classroom teacher, they will tell you that they will go find Mrs. Thompson," said Bruce-Teeters. "Nicole's role might be a kindergarten teacher, but she is more than that. In the eyes of my children, she is a super hero. She is a friend, a confidant, and the biggest cheerleader!"

We were lucky enough to have Mrs. Thompson for both of my boys and I could not be more grateful. She made learning fun and interesting and they both loved her! She is such an amazing teacher and person so this is much deserved!
