Kamilla Maii was nominated by an anonymous student.

"Mrs. Maii was an influential teacher in my life," said the student. "She consistently pushed students to do their best work and was always willing to help them improve.  Looking back, all my classmates enjoyed her class and felt safe in her classroom environment.  Mrs. Maii made a space in her classroom for students who weren't feeling well and weren't in the right mindset to learn.  She truly made her best effort to make her students happy.  She successfully taught the English curriculum and challenged students to work on their public speaking skills through a mock trial project. Overall, her class is one of my all-time favorites, and she is deserving of this award."
