LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Whitney Aragaki was nominated by multiple students. The following profile contains text from their nominations.

“Mrs. Aragaki is my AP Environmental Science teacher and has really motivated me to learn about the environment.  She makes learning in the classroom very interactive and enjoyable.  She is very supportive of all the students in the classroom.  Outside of the classroom, she helps students in science fair and other activities.  These qualities show how great of a teacher and person Mrs. Aragaki is.”

“In your class I found out I have little to no knowledge on the environment. Also, I was able to make fun stuff in your class too, so thank you. >:)”  

“She made a difference in my life because I was childish when I had her in 10th grade. I turned into a better person over the years because she shaped me up. She is a good teacher who does more than just teach, but she connects with her students and helps them with their personal life.”

“Whitney Aragaki is a LifeChanger in my community as she exceeds the expectations for being a teacher, mentor, and a trusted person to talk to about anything. She is a great teacher and makes lessons interesting, while at the same time teaches informally enough to let everyone be comfortable in making mistakes and asking questions. She is supportive, caring, encouraging, and makes the class go by fast by making it fun. I enjoy being in her classroom either learning or just to talk, as she is one of the best teachers on campus.”
