LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Allison Strobel was nominated by her colleague, Tamara Lampes.

"Ms. Strobel is an instrumental, caring, and compassionate educator who always goes above and beyond in her dedication to our students, staff, and school. Ms. Strobel has taught fourth and fifth grade students here at Grinnell Elementary, and she's very well respected among her peers," said Lampes. "We are a Title I school, and Ms. Strobel always lends a hand to lift our students and families.  Ms. Strobel also leads our after-school Chess Club, which is so wonderful for our students.  I work closely alongside her with our PTA, and she has virtually led our PTA to new levels.  She has applied for grants and was awarded two Digital Grants to help our students and families understand the importance of cyber safety.  Ms. Strobel has also led school-wide events held outside of school hours that have helped in teaching empathy, kindness, and the importance of family bonding. More importantly, I wish to nominate Ms. Strobel for her leadership and commitment to our teachers and families. I'd like to highlight and showcase her time, hard work, and involvement with our school."
