Ginger DeHaan was nominated by multiple parents.

"There are truly not enough kind words I can say about Ginger DeHaan. First grade hit us hard, as our baby was no longer a baby. He was going into elementary school to learn big things. The moment we met Ginger, we were immediately put at ease. I have never met anyone like her. Even with having eight children of her own, she makes you feel like you are the only person around. She addresses every concern you could possibly have. She is in constant communication. Ginger has the kindest soul and writes the most loving things about her children. You can feel the love that extends from her for what she does and for her students. I honestly feel that she has made me a better person just by knowing her. She's fun and quirky, and I honestly don't know how to even describe her without meeting her. She is what this whole world needs in the middle of a trying pandemic: peace, love, and reassurance," said Ashley Jordan.

"There is no doubt Ginger DeHaan is changing lives every day she walks into the classroom. As a parent and educator, I can confidently say that she was made for this role, in these times. Mrs. DeHaan meets students where they are and works with love and patience to push them to where they could be. She takes time to learn about each student and be who that student needs for success. Ginger's love for my own daughter has brought me to tears on more than one occasion. I know that when I send her to Ginger every day, my child is loved, safe, understood, appreciated for who she is, and of course, learning. I will probably find myself in tears once again when my sweet girl moves on from her class. Teaching is no easy job, and it isn't every day that you find someone in this profession who, without a doubt, was made for exactly this. That is Ginger DeHaan," said Brittany Bradshaw.

"Ginger is our daughter's first grade teacher. Mrs. DeHaan is an exceptional teacher who goes above and beyond, not only for her students, but the parents of her students, as well. Mrs. DeHaan shows her students unconditional love and support, both academically and personally. She keeps parents informed and always makes sure everyone feels her love. Mrs. DeHaan has sent many emails that have left us in happy tears. I have never met a teacher who truly loves like she does and is so good at showing that love to others. I have no doubt her students are in amazing hands, both academically and emotionally. That is so important with what these students have been though over the last two years. I know Mrs. DeHaan has touched our daughter's heart as much as she has ours, and we could never repay her for that," said Hannah Turney.

The patience and confidence and pure love Mrs. DeHaan had(s) for my daughter who STRUGGLES was just amazing. She helped her grow and to have more confidence in her capabilities, and still supports and loves on her today! No one could be more deserving of such an honor! Congratulations!

Ginger Dehaan can make your day just about everyday! Last week she sent out an email asking what children's sporting events in her class she can attend! Inside and outside the classroom she supports her children in everyway possible. I'm not quite sure how she does it all!

Mrs. DeHaan is a true gem. She cares for those children in her classroom as if they were her own. She is a true inspiration for what it means to be an educator. Every school needs a Mrs. DeHaan. I'm proud to call her a coworker and friend.
