LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Gregory Farngalo was nominated by his spouse, Deborah Squire. 

Dr. Farngalo was born and educated in Liberia, a country in western Africa.  He is the son of the late Ambassador Gabriel Farngalo, who was the Minister of Education to Nimbi County. From an early age, he learned from his father's example to always help and inspire others, and to drive himself and those around him to excel. He came to the US to further his education, earning his Bachelor's, Master's, and Specialist degrees before receiving his Ph.D in Educational Leadership. Dr. Farngalo has always worked and participated in projects that make a difference in the lives of children.

Dr. Farngalo has sponsored mentoring programs such as Young Men of Distinction, Young Men of Purpose, National Save our Sons, and Redan's Elite Young Men. He is devoted and dedicated to his special education class at Oakcliff Elementary School. Dr. Farngalo inspires children to believe in themselves and never give up on their dreams. He believes learning can be achieved in many different ways, and that children with special needs have special gifts that can help them achieve their goals.

He also tutors children in his neighborhood and helps them with homework and school projects.

"Today, I was inspired by Dr. Farngalo as I helped him shop for a young boy that attended his school and has no father figure in his life," Squire said. "Dr. Farngalo deserves to be nominated as a LifeChanger."
