Nikole Butler was nominated by a colleague who wishes to remain anonymous.

Ms. Butler is a SDC/MI teacher for students in kindergarten through second grade. MI allows students to interact with the content of a lesson in ways that fit their specific learning styles and strengths. Ms. Butler selflessly spends every moment thinking about how she can better her class and how each child fits into that class. She is always thinking about how to make things easier for others.

"She is always a positive influence on those around her," the nominator said. "It is truly a pleasure to work with her."

I can’t even begin to tell you what an amazing teacher this woman is. She goes above and beyond to help her students and the parents. I am so grateful to her for all that she did for my son during the years he was her student.

Nikole is an amazing teacher to all of her students. She is always trying her best with each and every child. She is an amazing person to work with. She puts her heart and soul into her class. I am so lucky to work with someone as positive and amazing as Nikole.

I can honestly say Nikole has been a life changer and a god send to our family. When you find out your kid is autsitic your world changes and you have to navigate a whole new realm. Our son Neil has been in Nikole’s class since kindergarten and she has been such a positive, patient, and giving person. He absolutely adores her. Nikole is ALWAYS there to listen and offer advice. She goes above and beyond to make sure the special needs kids have the the same experiences trypical kids have. I’m not sure we would be able to do this without her. There is no one more deserving of this award.
