Music that Describes Amanda
Amanda Pepin was nominated by her colleague, Amber Noyes.
"Amanda came to us last year as we started our first full school year handling the chaos of COVID in a school setting," explains Noyes. "She truly cares about the well being of all students and has their best interest at heart. She works in the evenings, on the weekends, and always considers herself 'on call' when she is needed. As the parent of a student in the district, I have seen firsthand how caring and compassionate she is, while also being wonderful at communicating. Our district is beyond lucky to have Amanda here working in all three schools and caring for the kids here in Madison."

Amanda is someone who always puts everybody first. As a parent with a child in the district I feel comforted with “Nurse Linda.” She is very involved in the community and not afraid to take on new challenges. She is always willing to help! Much deserved!!
Amanda is not only my sister but she's my biggest role model. Our family went through some unimaginable events and she was there taking care of others even while she was suffering herself. She's able to bring light into others lives no matter what's going on. A natural compassionate and caring leader not afraid to take on new adventures. I've watched as she completed her nursing program, worked a crazy schedule, coached sports teams and still give her girls endless opportunities. Amanda doesn't stop, it's just simply not who she is. If there's something she can do for somebody, whether it was help or just something to make someone's day better, she does it. The world would be a much better place if more people were like Amanda.
Our school district is lucky to have someone like you looking after our students. People like you are what helps make our town a community! Well deserved!
Amanda is educated, reliable, confident, compassionate and has a true love for nursing and supporting the families in her community. She truly embodies what it is to be a Madison Bulldog. Whether supporting the students on the field or keeping them safe in the classroom she makes herself accessible to families anywhere to help answer questions. I am comforted as a parent in knowing she’s my children’s nurse and lucky enough to also call her my friend.

I would like to second this nomination. I am a parent and Madison community member. I also oversee Madison Recreation Basketball. Last year we were unsure whether or not we would be able to offer recreation basketball with the many COVID restrictions. I presented to our school board the importance of our area youth having this opportunity for some normalcy and movement during the winter months. Amanda immediately jumped on board to create safety protocols to ensure students would be safe during their recreation basketball experience. I worked closely with Amanda providing attendance and temperature checks, as well as consistent communication to parents. This often was work Amanda completed, before and after school as well as on weekends. I am happy to share that 75 youth participated in recreation basketball, in one gym, for six weeks with zero COVID issues. This was only possible because of Amanda's willingness to take on this extra work. She not only provided COVID guidance, she was consistent and thorough. She is an amazing asset to our school district and community and very deserving of the LifeChanger of the Year.
Our community is truly blessed to have her. She is more than a school nurse, she a valued member of our community. Even in her off time she is attending school events and doing her best to make our community a better place for kids to learn and thrive!
