Emily Bonk was nominated by her principal, Katherine Slaghuis.
Ms. Bonk has worked with the Muskegon Intermediate School District for three years supporting young adults with complex special education needs. She's one of the most kind and knowledgeable people you will meet. In an emergency, she's extremely calm and comforting, supporting and caring for an individual's well-being. She's highly skilled and gets the job done. She's able to multi-task and get project-based work done to progress her school's program while balancing unforeseen needs as they arise. During the pandemic, she held very high ethical standards in such challenging times. She put students and staff first.
"Emily makes a difference in the lives of our participants, staff, and families on our Campus," said Slaghuis.
