Kip Montgomery was nominated by a colleague who wishes to remain anonymous. 

Mr. Montgomery loves working with students and building relationships with them because he seeks to turn poor behavior into teachable moments. One might find him playing football with a group of students after school, wearing a pink wig for cancer awareness, or dressing as Darth Vader at the school book fair to promote literacy. Mr. Montgomery also enjoys going on the morning announcements to reward students and get them excited about learning.

He has an open door policy and is always willing to help assist staff members. When the school is short on custodial staff, he can be found vacuuming or mopping the floor, making sure that the school is clean for the students.

"Each and every day, Mr. Montgomery makes it his priority to connect with teachers, parents and students to promote a positive learning environment for all," the nominator said.
