Kristy Pillsbury was nominated by her principal, Jessica Villeneuve.

"Kristy is one of our school nurses; we share her with the Junior High," said Villeneuve. "She has been on the COVID-19 Committee since the spring of 2020 and has stayed abreast of all things COVID from the Health Department, researchers, and the Department of Education. She advises the Superintendent and is our go-to person for all algorithms and scenarios. Kristy has put in countless hours after school and never winces when approached with a silly question or a difficult scenario. She has saved many of us, mentally, legally, and technically over the past year and a half. COVID aside, she is a highly competent school nurse and wonderful colleague. She has made my first year as a principal immeasurably better."

Where do I start? “Nurse Kristy” is a WONDERFUL human being! Her smile, laugh, sense of humor, and hard work ethic are just a few of her strong traits. We here at Jay-Westfield are grateful to have her as nurse, co-worker, and friend. She is always willing to do above and beyond her position. She is very knowledgeable which helps keep us all within our school/community safe and properly informed. Kristy, thank you for your continued hard work!
