LifeChanger of the Year Nominee Profile

Heather Staddie was nominated by her colleague, Amy McCampbell.

Ms. Staddie began her educational career as a second grade teacher. She influenced many students by teaching them science and better ways to be good readers. When the librarian retired, Ms. Staddie took on the position. She revamped the entire library from preschool to high school. She organized a project to get rid of old books and multiple copies. These were offered to teachers, and the remainder was given to a recycled book program.

She has started a Makerspace project and is also working on getting new audio equipment for computers for all students.  They can check out headphones and keep them for the year before returning them. She would like to expand on these projects more.

"She is a huge asset to our students and the school," said McCampbell.
