Barry Wilson has been nominated by his colleague, Justin Stephenson.
"On behalf of the Curry Middle School students, staff, and community, I am honored and proud to nominate Dr. Barry Wilson for this year's LifeChanger of the Year award. Dr. Wilson has served our school and community for 20 years as a teacher, coach, and administrator," said Stephenson.
Dr. Wilson's dedication goes above and beyond his responsibilities as school administrator. He has impacted and inspired so many lives in the Curry community. He shows his purpose and passion to continuously improve his school, as well as a distinct ability to positively impact the lives of students through his exemplary leadership. His tenure and leadership at Curry Middle School has enhanced the school culture and fostered pride that is evident to all stakeholders in the Curry community.
"His leadership reflects the highest of moral and ethical standards of any educator I have ever worked with in my 15 year career," said Stephenson. "His efforts are committed to the academic, behavioral, and social development and well-being of every student at Curry Middle School. It's time he receives the recognition he doesn't seek, but deserves. Dr. Wilson's selection as a LifeChanger of the Year winner would recognize his exceptional service and dedication to the students and community he has impacted for so many years."

Dr.Wilson is a extremely hardworking and kind.He treats everybody with respect and care.He gives us awards day,fun days.He lets us do things like tug a war,dodge ball.He does a lot for this school and for everybody.He lets us have clubs like,Garden Clubs,Art Club,Book Club,and Outdoor Club.He is the best to us.

Dr Wilson is an awsome leader he tries to be everyone's friend and treats all 365 kids in Curry Middle School like his own and he treats them all very fairly and sweet. Dr. Wilson is super cool I think he is a great principal at Curry Middle School he lets us do clubs witch are super fun and jacket groups to he takes students opinions and put some of them in school.
Dr. Wilson is an amazing principal. He lets us do fun activites and we get nachos every Tuesday. We do awards days and get prizes. He truly cares about his students and keeps us safe. He also gives us p.e. He gives us fun days and he does practice lockdowns so when we have a real one we'll be safe and know what to do. He also deals with any problems anyone has. He also lets us put suggestions in the suggestion box and reads them. That's why he's a great pricipal.

I have worked with Dr. Wilson for a number of years. He amazes me at how he reaches out to all of the students and faculty. He goes above and beyond to build relationships of trust with everyone. He makes a point to stand in the hallways and ask students how they are and how their day is going. When students come to him with a problem he builds a sense of trust with them so they know they can depend on him. He goes back afterward and ask students if their problem is solved or if they are having more problems. He wants to make sure everyone knows they can come to his office for anything.

Dr. Wilson is awesome, I love him. He gave us so many awesome things. For example, he gave us Gaming Club. A day (every other Wednesday) where you and your friends get to hang out for an hour and bring all your gaming devices, its so much fun!
One time I had checked out 2 times in a row, and as I was leaving for the second time Dr. Wilson had asked me if everything was okay in class and at home. The fact that he cared enough to ask had shown me that he truly cares about his students.
