Music that Describes Stephanie
Stephanie Latiolais was nominated by her principal, Jessica Landry.
Mrs. Latiolais has worked with St. Martin Parish School Board for 21 years. She is placed at the Early Learning Center, where 100% of the students receive free/reduced lunch. Due to this high poverty area, she goes above and beyond to help deliver exceptional medical attention to students.
Beginning in August 2021, Mrs. Latiolais has picked up new duties to include contact tracing according to CDC guidelines, which often means she works nights and weekends to keep up with demand. She has served as a liaison between St. Martinville Senior High School and the family health center to assist all families with prompt and professional medical care. She has also volunteered to pilot a program at ELC to test individuals suspected of having COVID. Mrs. Latiolais does all of this to help keep students in schools and keep the community safe.
She meets regularly with parents and is always a phone call away. She is always professional and knowledgeable about all her RN duties and has built a trusting relationship with parents in her school/community. Often times, she reaches out to other professionals to help parents get services, and she supports parents when they need assistance with medical support.
"It is for all these reasons that Mrs. Latiolais is to be considered a LifeChanger. She changes lives every day in St. Martinville, Louisiana for the positive good of all," said Landry.
