Kathi Zomorodian has been nominated by her friend, Rebecca Hassan.

Ms. Zomorodian has been a school nurse for almost 24 years. She has shown true dedication to students, especially during this trying time through the COVID-19 pandemic.

"She has not only shown empathy, but professionalism throughout her entire career as a school nurse. Kathi most definitely deserves this award," said Hassan.

Hi there I just want to say my mom is my life changer . She was my nurse for four years at spruce creek and I was lucky to have her. I was happy to have shared her with my peers. Her clinic was the hang out and everyone could talk to her. My brother hated it but loved it as the same time. The part he hated everyone told her about the parties that happened lol Now at Port Orange Elementary she is able to share her smile and momma bear hugs with these young kids . She has kids now whose parents went to creek. She is always smiling even when she is in pain. S He has dealt with a lot this year. A year ago she had back surgery and since the back surgery her hips started hurting. She is in pain everyday, but these kids brighten her day. She was going to retire this year but loves her job, her peers and the kids. I hope you swing by Port Orange Elementary because I do not see any more deserving nurse that Nurse Kathi. My mom She is even helping a few other schools with their clinic passes since they are short . 25 years I think I got that right of being a school nurse and she loves every minute of it.

My mom is the best school nurse in Volusia County. She has been my nurse my whole life but also my nurse in high school. She cared for everyone and treated everyone like her own kid. She deserves to win the Life Changer award because not only has she changed my life, I know she has changed so many other students life.
