Michelle Concepcion was nominated by her colleague, Ron Polk.
"Over the last year and a half, we have been riddled with COVID-19 cases throughout our school and district. Michelle has worked with all of our 15 schools (10,000+ students) as we have all come back to in-person learning," said Polk. "Now that the Delta variant has infected students and staff district-wide, Michelle has been working day and night, seven days a week, to keep all of our schools and students safe. District-wide voluntary testing has provided a layer for Michelle to be able to contact schools and families to minimize the spread and prevent outbreaks. With over 3500+ students, Michelle is an incredible woman who works every hour of the day to keep us safe. She is in constant contact with the county for the latest information regarding COVID, and she visits several school sites to update principals about any and all cases that coincide with student siblings. The word incredible does not begin to cover her value as an employee and individual."
