"Stacy has been a guidance counselor for over 15 years. She has dedicated countless hours to helping students be their best selves," said Berry. "If I tried to write a description for all that Stacy is, I would have to use words such as committed, conscientious, diligent, tireless, caring, compassionate, good-hearted, and kind."
Ms. Knernschield has made wellness a priority for the students and staff at her school. She has spread knowledge about mental health and has shown a real commitment to helping her school community connect with resources they could use for help.
Ms. Knernschield helps students reach their full potential, not only while they're in high school, but afterwards, through her knowledge and experience with the post-graduation process. She works diligently to help students make good choices, not only with their academic classes, but decisions that could affect their mental well-being.
In between all of the planning and the requirements of her daily tasks, Ms. Knernschield still finds time to meet with students and staff individually who need her attention.
