Pamela Baccus-Sheppard was nominated by a grandparent of a student, Dolores Deitz.
"Ms. Baccus-Sheppard has been through a lot, but she still maintains her ability to teach and understand the needs of her children and their families," Deitz said. "She taught my grandson for four years at Caldwell Middle School. She is one of the most understanding, selfless people you ever meet. I could go on and on about things she has done for children, like pay for their graduation and their school trips. She's just incredible."
